Hey Folks, here’s another tune called “Murray’s Hurried Blues” off the upcoming album that PureVolume has just premiered! Check it out!
Brooklyn’s Radiator King is a name that’s more suited for a local hardware shop than a singer/songwriter. Yet Adam Silvestri has a sound that would be at home in the city’s ’60s folk scene or in a Southern honky tonk. His latest song, “Murray’s Hurried Blues” with its swinging folk rock that’s accentuated by a rollicking riff and a mean piano that really cooks. His new album, A Hollow Triumph After All, will blend that folk rock with elements of punk, rock and Americana, with this tune leading the charge.
“For this song I aimed to meld together the vast styles of music that I love, spanning both time and genre, to really highlight their energy and rawness,” the singer explains. “Sonically, I was after a sound that combined the ferocity of Jerry Lee Lewis, the attitude of the Clash, and the coolness of James Dean. I wanted to weave it all together in a driving sound that was free and chaotic.
“For the lyrics, I had to find the right voice to match the mood. What I ended up with was a law-breaking, hard-living, love-making (even if he pays for it here and there) character who prescribes to the live fast, die young type of life. He’s a loner doing the best he can with the cards he was given. I think we can all relate to him, really. By the end of this crazy ride, he’s just looking for some forgiveness from the Big Man upstairs.”
Radiator King’s A Hollow Triumph After All is out on April 28.

So pleased to share with you my first single “Ghost Dance” off my upcoming album which Nooga.com has featured on this week’s Notes From Left of the Dial. Thank you Joshua Pickard for the kind words.
Radiator King, “Ghost Dance”
The work of Brooklyn’s Radiator King (AKA Adam Silvestri) revels in the gritty, realistic narratives of classic rock ‘n’ roll and the austere emotionality of folk-inflected punk. Through these seemingly disparate sounds, he concocts a wide-ranging series of stories and revelations intent on carving themselves onto your heart. Borrowing a bit of raucous New Orleans jazz noise to fill in the spaces within his songs, Silvestri aims to create a fever dream of colliding influences and realized rhythmic epiphanies. He’s currently gearing up for the release of his latest record, “A Hollow Triumph After All,” due out April 28.On his new single, “Ghost Dance,” Silvestri lays claim to a darkened corner in a smoky bar at 3 a.m. Guitars and thrumming percussion etch a rough portrait of a life lived hard and give us a glimpse of the experiences that he may or may not want to forget. Channeling the dark spirits of Springsteen’s “Nebraska” and the Southern gothic stomp of Sixteen Horsepower, the track levels the landscape around it, revealing a deep and recessive emotional reservoir. And it’s here, in this dark ether, that he confesses to and embraces the ghosts that always seem to be a step behind us.

Hey Folks,
Before I get into music related stuff, I just want to begin with a quick note. As we approach the new year there are many changes that are likely to occur. Whether we agree with these changes or not, we must all recognize what is and what is not in our control. While we cannot have a voice in who will lead this country, we can have say in the humanity we show towards one another everyday. Take your buddies out for a beer, help the elderly lady across the street shovel her walkway (even though she nags you about your music being too loud), reach out to old friends that you’ve lost touch with, converse with complete strangers just because, and most of all be the force that strengthens community in your environment. If there’s one thing I’m certain of, it’s that we can all use the support.
Alright, lets get into some news! First off I got some shows coming up in NYC, so if you find yourself in the area on the following dates, I hope you will join:
12.5 Brooklyn, NY @ Sunnyvale
12/16 @ Brooklyn, NY @ Pete’s Candy Store
1/12 Harlem, NY @ Shrine
2/28 New York, New York @ Rockwood Music Hall
In other news, the upcoming album, A Hollow Triumph Afterall, is due to release in late April. Following the release I will be heading out on a 6-week U.S tour that I am in the process of booking now. For the first 3 weeks of tour I will be joined by my band and for the remainder I will be playing solo. For a string of the Northeast dates we will be touring with Scarlet Sails, an awesome New York City band that we are dying to share the stage with. Since we are in the midst of booking, hit me up if you think we should pass through your city and we will see what we can do!
Be good to each other!
Cheers,
Adam

Hey friends,
I’ve just finished recording the latest album and I am happy to report it sounds great, I can not wait to send it out there into the world for all of you to hear. However, there are still things that need to be done before that such as mastering, duplication, blah blah blah but it should be available early next year.
Currently I am working on a few music videos that will be released around the time of the album. Also, I have begun booking a nationwide tour that will kick off in early Spring. So sit tight, there are many things coming down the pipeline shortly!
If you live in the New York City area I have two shows scheduled, one tomorrow night (Saturday September 17th) at Pete’s Candy Store and the other next month on October 17th at Rockwood Music Hall.
Well that just about does it, Take it easy folks.
Adam
